14th Gaseous Electronics Meeting

5-9 February 2006 Murramarang, NSW, Australia

The Gaseous Electronics Meeting (GEM) is held every two years and covers all aspects of phenomena in ionized gases. This conference continues the gaseous electronics meetings, encompassing the fields of low temperature plasma, laboratory and atmospheric discharges, plasma treatment of materials as well as dusty and chemically active plasmas. This year, the GEM XIV programme has been expanded to include the Workshop on dynamics and statistics of complex multi-component systems in ionized gases. The scope of the workshop covers the entire range of complex plasma physics phenomena, including but not limited to:
  • Open, dissipative and nonequilibrium complex plasma systems
  • Equilibrium, dynamics and transport in complex plasmas
  • Turbulence and transport properties
  • Self-organization in complex plasmas
Topics to be discussed include:
  • theory, modeling and simulations
  • laboratory experiments (including microgravity)
  • ionospheric, space and astrophysical observations
  • applications
Invited Speakers:
  • L. Boufendi
  • O. Petrov
  • M. Rosenberg
  • H. Thomas
  • N. Sato
  • T. Yokota
