The 2dF-SDSS LRG and QSO (2SLAQ) Survey: The Spectroscopic QSO Catalogue
Welcome! Here we present the catalogue and ancillary information for
the 2SLAQ QSO catalogue. This is fully described by Croom et
al. (2009). This brief README file
outlines the files available for download.
The 2SLAQ QSO catalogue
The full 2SLAQ QSO catalogue file, containing all redshift and other
information can be found here.
The format is described in detail in the above paper.
A substantial number of objects have repeat observations. All the
information for these repeated observations is given in this file.
The coordinates of the 2dF fields targetted by the 2SLAQ survey
are listed here.
Catalogue completeness
The completeness of the QSO catalogue, and how this varies as a
function of celestial position, redshift and magnitude. Again, a full
description of this is given in the above paper. Below are various
data that describe the completeness:
- Magnitude and redshift dependent
colour completeness array which describes completeness effects due
to our colour selection.
- Redshift dependent spectroscopic
completeness which accounts for incompleteness due to different
features appearing in the spectrum as redshift changes.
- Spectroscopic coverage masks for the NGP and SGP strips pixelized
in 1x1 arcmin pixels.
- Spectroscopic completeness masks for the NGP and SGP strips pixelized
in 1x1 arcmin pixels.
- Nobs/Nest masks for the NGP
and SGP strips pixelized
in 1x1 arcmin pixels. This is used to correct for spatially varying magnitude dependent spectroscopic completeness.
Spectroscopic database
The 2SLAQ team has provided a searchable spectroscopic database to
allow full access to all 2SLAQ spectra. This is based on the search
engine used for the 2QZ survey. The 2SLAQ spectroscopic database can
be found here.
